GigaMoves fell under’s domain but was designed as a stand alone site for eBay. Although it has since be reabsorbed into’s site the original site still boasts the highest visitor to registration rate in’s 14 year history.

This was one of the first major projects I worked on for I was given the task of assisting with converting GigaMoves from a B2B to a consumer facing site.


Working from User Acceptance Criteria I came up with a new look and feel while keeping in mind that moving is a stressful life event. I moved away fromt the red and black color palette of the existing site to cooler tones with friendly imagery and easy to read typography. For the home page form design I was inspired by Luke Wrobloski’s book Web Form Design: Filling in the Blanks.
